It is often said and believed that education is the key to success in life. Success in life is a choice and it starts right from the heart and is defined by every individual’s perception about things. It has nothing to do with the level of education you have acquired, it all depends on the individual.
In every individual, there is a talent, ability or a gift and all that one need to earn as much as one desires in life has already been implanted in the individual by God. And these gifts, talents and abilities were inherent in us when we were born. There is no limit to what your abilities can earn you, even more than what your certificate can do for you.
We live in an era where education is exalted and thus many call it their lives. This is where many individuals crash because talent discovery and development is being neglected and the chance to be our best is lost. Except we all start thinking of what we can do for ourselves by discovering and developing our talents in our environment, until we start seeing life as a question and we as the answer or solution to the different issues that life presents to us, the true wealth of this world will never be discovered. Dr. Myles Munroe in one of his seminars said and I quote “The wealthiest spot on earth is not the silver mines of Central America or the Diamond mines of South Africa, the wealthiest spot in this world is not the Gold mines of South America or South Africa and neither is it the oil wells in Iraq, Kuwait or Nigeria. The wealthiest spot on earth is the grave yard because in there are many unwritten books, untold jokes, great songs. In the grave yard are great actors, athletes and thinkers who died without discovering what they possess which would have added to the wealth of this world and its development”.
The true riches of this world are hidden inside us. Many of the great people we know like the musicians and the athletes don’t even have any educational qualification all they know is how to use their talents and this has earned them much success and fame than most of our educated people. Using the likes of Joseph Yobo, Tuface Idibia etc. these are guys that have discovered, developed and maximized their talents and are living large. Friends, there is a great mystery behind that part of your body that thing or talent in you, that thing you do that makes people applaud you and consider you exceptional. Now that is the key to your wealth and honor in life. You too can be the richest person on earth not because you are studying a high rated course in a reputable institution or because you are from a wealthy home but because you have something imbedded within you which is the key to your wealth.
Education is not the key to success in life and definitely not your life but a part of your life because yours is all that surrounds your making it in life. Discover, develop and explore them and make your life work. If all your hope of becoming a success in life is tied to your educational certificate then your future is doomed. Get up and discover those God given talents in you. Extend your tentacles, come out of that comfort zone, go on a talent discovery tour, keep getting more cruise and your oil will never stop flowing. Get in this flow and become a show the world will want to see. Your talent is what will bring you to the ‘lime light’ and a ladder to becoming successful in life for even the bible says “The gifts of a man maketh way for him”.
Now you might ask the big question what is talent and do I have any? Going by the different definitions. Talent is said to be a natural ability to be good at something especially without being taught. It is an ability that someone is born with. Within every individual is embedded at least a talent which is God’s strategy to make us great and successful. We are created to be directly or indirectly dependent on each other.
